Back to a regular puzzle today - with a few words I like personally and thought I'd challenge myself to clue. I've noticed I lean toward writing shorter clues; I think these are the kind that I enjoy solving the most, when there are so many options for so few words.
I might try and break that style up in the future, but I can't promise anything as I don't want the clueing to become a chore! It's interesting to toy with words and see how they may be broken into pieces, or interwoven with other words. My personal favourite word in this grid is 29a. As for the wordplay... I'll let you be the judge.
