I can only apologise for the Britishism in today's grid. Sometimes you just have to use words you are comfortable with and that comes at a cost. Still, I hope it is something people endeavour to use more. It's fun to say.
There are also plenty of ? clues; six to be precise. I have always enjoyed writing puns, though that is probably why my comedy career didn't take off. I find puns to be a unique taste among an audience and if you turn up to a show expecting some witty stories or unique takes on modern life and all you get is fifteen minutes of "Toucan play at that game" you're bound to boo.
